Flooding in British Colombia; Things to Learn

Climate change is making a huge economical impact towards World’s strongest nations such as USA, Canada, Europe, China, Russia, India, etc. Many countries in the world are facing more frequent extreme weather conditions due to climate change occurred by the global warming. Scientists already proved that these extreme weather conditions are happening due to extensive emissions of greenhouse gasses from industries and human consumption.

One of the best example is that, total average 50 mm in British Colombia became 50 mm (2 inch) during even within last two days. It became an extreme weather condition because the rain was a non-stop rain and eventually flooded the whole city causing huge financial loss. Even the water treatment plant in the city cannot handle such an extreme and unexpected loading unless otherwise it will clog everything and make more severe disasters. Some presenters report that this happened due to the failure of municipal wastewater treatment plant, but the real question is that whether we concern more about these extreme weather conditions caused by the climate change and invest more to mitigate those challenges.
